DESCRIPTION: Clocks- 2 (Two) (1) Chauncey Jerome, New Haven, Conn., 8 day, time and strike "Union" model fusee-spring shelf clock, c1850. (2) Wm. L. Gilbert Clock Co., Winsted, Conn., "Medea" shelf clock with a spring driven, 8 day, time and strike movement in a walnut case, c1891.
CONDITION: (1) Rosewood veneered case in nice condition in original finish has a veneer repair at the bottom of the door and small ding on the top back edge. Original painted dial has some stains and minor loss at the mounting screws. Original hands. Nearly complete rear label. Movement is signed, has Geneva winding stops and was recently serviced. (2) The case is in excellent condition with original finish. The original paper dial is in good condition. The hands are original. The movement is signed. ***NOTE*** The dimensions are for clock number (2) .
